Meghan Markle may be royal now but it seems she just can’t shake the old acting bug. According to a variety of reports, she has inked a deal with Disney to lend her voice to a new upcoming project. This deal isn’t for free. In exchange for her voice acting, Disney will make a donation to a wildlife sanctuary. The donation will be going towards a conservation charity called Elephants Without Borders. Ever since Markle married Prince Harry and left Hollywood behind her she hasn’t done any new acting projects. Before becoming Royal she was best known for her role as Rachel Zane in the hit show Suits.
Despite what is going on in their personal lives right now with the Royal Family, it seems Markle is set on lending her talent for a good cause. Disney has yet to publicly comment on what project she will be involved with or in what capacity her voice will be used. For those thinking “next Disney Princess,” that seems way too obvious. I suspect that it could be a role in either Zootopia 2 or a Disney+ exclusive. We will just have to wait and see. Now that the news has been made public, my guess is Disney will comment shortly.
