Rumor: Nolan overseeing Justice League, Bale will return

0

After Will Beall’s Justice League script got thrown out, things looked really bleak for Warner Bros. and DC Comics. But according to a scoop from Latino Review, WB is now turning to two people who’ve been successful for them in the past: Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale.

Nolan is now in talks to manage/godfather/produce the cinematic DC universe, and Latino Review says that the Justice League movie will be the vehicle to have Bale return as Batman. Should be interesting how they make that work given the concluding events of The Dark Knight Rises.

Latino Review also says that David Goyer may be involved with the Justice League movie in some capacity, but as of now the scoop remains unconfirmed — ditto the possibility of a Superman/Batman World’s Finest team-up film. Goyer co-wrote or contributed to the scripts for Nolan’s Batman films and is the writer of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. We listed Goyer as one of the writers who should script the Justice League movie, so obviously we are always right. (Seriously: David Goyer & Geoff Johns, guys. It will work.)

These are all rumors right now, but they are huge steps forward for WB if they turn out to be true. How do you feel about Nolan’s involvement and Bale’s possible return as The Dark Knight?
