Rumor: Puny humans not returning to Transformers 4

0

I know all of us went to see the Transformers movies for the human characters. I mean, that’s what Transformers has always been about. While Michael Bay is returning as director, the recurring fleshbags in the first three movies may be replaced by other fleshbags. Josh Duhamel told E! Online the following:

I don’t think anybody’s doing it. I know Shia [LaBeouf]’s not doing it. I don’t think Tyrese or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it… Whenever these movies make that much money they’re going to make as many as they can. [But] I haven’t heard anything about it.

/Flim points out that with no script greenlit, it’s hard to say whether or not the puny humans will be back for a fourth film. Since the movie won’t be out until June 2014, anything can happen.

Badass Digest also has a related rumor regarding Transformers 4: Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. Their source says the new film will be a direct sequel to Transformers: Dark of the Moon, but it won’t be from the point of view of Sam Whatshisnameitdoesntmatter (LaBeouf’s character). The source also told Badass Digest that tonally the sequel will be more like the final hour of the third film (i.e., lotsa ‘splosions).

Who knows, without the fleshbags, the next Transformers movie might focus more on the Transformers. But gosh, who would want to watch a Transformers movie about that?
