In case watching the trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Dawn Treader wasn’t enough to entice or scare you away from watching the film, the Walden Media budget decided to hold the Santa display at the Fair Oaks Mall in Virginia hostage to promote their upcoming film:

“Features a color changing, 30-foot Ice Palace, encircled with a series of majestic arches and smaller globes that appear to be carved from ice and will immerse visitors with magical vignettes from the land of Narnia. As they walk through falling snow inside the structure, guests will encounter life-like figures portraying scenes from the film and exclusive movie footage integrated in an exciting video show.”

The event starts today and will run through December 24th, which is two weeks after the new Narniafilm comes out in theaters. To make it worth your while if you live in Virginia, 200 visitors will receive a gift bag and a free picture with Santa, and the first 400 children visitors will also get a LED wand to help light the ice palace. We might be able to get more photos in person later today, but for now you can check out the high resolution…
