Scream Factory bringing Nightbreed: The Cabal Cut to DVD

We’ve mentioned previously that there’s been an extended/director’s cut of Clive Barker’s Nightbreed screening around the world, but now it’s coming to DVD and Blu-ray. Scream Factory (the genre sub-label of Shout! Factory) announced at Comic Con that it will be in charge of the film’s release. Clive Barker also shared the news on his official Facebook page over the weekend.

Scream Factory wants to take time to do the release right since the restored 144-minute film comes from many disparate and low-quality sources. It could take some time to get Nightbreed: The Cabal Cut off the ground, but it’s happening some time in 2014.

Scream Factory also announced other forthcoming titles through early 2014, including Sam Raimi’s Darkman, John Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13, Paul Schrader’s Cat People remake, Eve of Destruction, and Saturn 3.
