Sean Penn lends his voice to The Angry Birds Movie

Sean Penn has joined the cast of The Angry Birds Movie. I never thought I’d write that sentence in my life, but here we are. I never thought I’d eat breakfast cereal for dinner either, but my Tuesday evenings can be strange and boring all at once.

Now you may be saying, “But wait, Hubert–doesn’t The Angry Birds Movie come out on May 20th? Isn’t that just weeks away? And what cereal was it?” Yes, this is true, the movie is out on May 20th, but Penn has been cast as Terrance, a big red bird that communicates entirely in grunts, which will require no additional animation. Also, Kashi Cinnamon Harvest with plain yogurt.

There you go. If you haven’t seen them yet, there have been two trailers for The Angry Birds Movie: one was a painful collection of unfunny animated movie cliches, while the other had urine in it.

Penn joins the current voice cast of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, Keegan-Michael Key, and Hannibal Buress.
