By Planes is Disney’s first attempt to make a Pixar movie without Pixar. Basically, they want to make more money of the Cars brand by expanding the universe to more than just cars. It’s a pretty brilliant movie, but how well Disney can do Pixar is up in the air. You can find out first, though.
