Sequel for overrated Baby Driver is possibly happening soon

I love Baby Driver as long as I don’t watch past the first 20 minutes or so. Edgar Wright constructed a masterful short film involving Ansel Elgort’s character, Baby, and his music-based driving skills. Then he extended it into a feature film and lost his way a bit. Don’t get me wrong, I still loved it. It’s just not as good as everyone says, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want a sequel so that they can make a movie that is as good as everyone said the first one is.

According to Elgort himself that movie is very likely to happen. He has evidently seen a screenplay that Wright has put together and the movie even has a title (Please be Baby Driver 2: Baby Harder). This was followed up by Wright himself stating that they’re planning on making the sequel soon as long as schedules align. That might be hard with Wright working on Last Night in Soho and Elgort starring in things left and right, including a streaming show called Tokyo Vice, but it sounds like something everyone wants to do.

And so it seems we’ll be getting another bit of fancy driving and kick ass music in our lives. I love Wright as an action director but I hope he can keep the film together a bit better this time around.
