By I don’t know if you guys have heard, but they’re making another American Pie movie. Dubbed American Reunion, it’s set to hit theaters April 6th, 2012. Filming has apparently begun, and the watchful eyes over at Collider spotted a few set photos posted to the Twitter account of Thomas Ian Nichols. Most of the photos are pretty unremarkable, but one in particular — which can be seen in the gallery below — shows Nichols, Jason Biggs, Chris Klein and Eddie Kaye Thomas recreating the famous “virginity pact” scene from the first American Pie.
American Reunion marks the eighth movie in the franchise, but unlike the last four (which were direct-to-video releases), this one centers on the original four friends of Jim, Kevin, Oz and Finch as they return to their hometown ten years after the events of the first film. Seann William Scott, Shannon Elizabeth, Jennifer Coolidge, Mena Suvari and even John Cho (who played blink-and-you’ll-miss-him parts in the first three movies) are also expected to reprise their roles from the original film.
