Smallville’s Erica Durance joins the cast of Crisis on Infinite Earths

We’ve got ourselves a regular Smallville reunion now! After yesterday’s news that Tom Welling would be joining the cast of Crisis on Infinite Earths (The CW’s “Arrowverse” crossover mini-series), it looks like his co-star/romantic interest will be tagging along. Erica Durance has been tapped to reprise the role of Lois Lane for the series and the duo’s inclusion will act as a belated epilogue to Smallville.

Interestingly, Durance has already played someone in the “Arrowverse.” She has appeared as Alura Zor-El on Supergirl, which could mean she’ll be pulling double duty here. I don’t think that’s likely, though, as even Brandan Routh has appeared before. He’s confirmed to be one of the various Superman’s in Crisis, so it’s likely Durance will just be Lois. This is just speculation, on my part.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will begin airing in December 2019 on The CW with three episodes. It will conclude in early January 2020 with the final two.
