SNL takes on Joker with a hilarious Seasme Street Parody

Saturday Night Live is famous for its parodies of films that are popular and Joker is right at the top of that list. This past weekend, the sketch comedy show took the Joker trailer to a whole new level by doing a crossover with Sesame Street. Combining two completely polar opposite genres, we’ve been graced with a pretty hilarious trailer about the origin of Oscar the Grouch in “Grouch“.

This is a literal shot for the shot of the actual trailer for Joker. It featured this week’s host David Harbour in the role of Oscar, a garbage man who becomes the sarcastic Sesame Street character we all know. Check out the trailer below for yourself.

Grouch (Joker Parody) - SNL

I enjoyed actually every minute of this. Other famous Sesame Street characters also made cameos, including Ernie and Bert, Elmo, Count, and Big Bird. The Sesame Street they show, however, is a very gritty take on Gotham City and I loved it. Huge kudos to the cast for doing such a fantastic job with this. Let us know what you thought of this parody.
