Snyder’s Superman won’t be joining the JLA

Zack Sucker Punch Snyder is at it again. This time, he’s gone on the record saying his Superman will not be the same Superman we’ll see in the 2013 Justice League film. That’s great, because we wouldn’t want Justice League bogged down with that Snyder-brand realism I’ve heard so much about.

When asked how Supes fits into the Justice League, Snyder had this to say:

“It doesn’t. Like what Chris Nolan is doing and what I’m doing with Superman, what they’ll do with Justice League will be it’s own thing with it’s own Batman and own Superman. We’ll be over here with our movie and they kinda get to do it twice which is kinda cool.”

You know what’s ‘kinda cool?’ Knowing I’ll get to see Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Chris Evans’s Captain America, and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in their own movies AND THEN enjoy the same dudes playing the same characters teaming up to whoop some super-villain ass in The Avengers. Marvel Studios loves tying all their movies together and teasing forthcoming films with awesome after-credits easter eggs. It’s this type of sweet shared universe that keeps me in a state of constant excitement.

Between the bewildering pile of bad choices that was Sucker Punch and pretty much every single thing he’s had to say about Superman, I’m starting to wonder if Zack Snyder is from Bizarro World.
