Two weeks ago, we ran a story where a developer from Naughty Dog, developers of the Uncharted series, debunked the news that Mark Wahlberg was starring as Nathan Drake in David O. Russell’s Uncharted adaptation. Now, the captain of the Funky Bunch himself has kicked all of that off the table, saying that he is indeed playing Nathan Drake, with Joe Pesci and Robert de Niro starring as well. He did not comment on the matter of the film being more based around the “family dynamic†of the Drake clan, but since Pesci and de Niro were on to play Nathan Drake’s family members, it seems to be lining up that the developers at Naughty Dog don’t know a damn thing about how the movie’s progressing.
That, or David O. Russell is just lying to them, and that certainly seems like something the supposed enfant-terrible Russell would be capable of.
