Sony’s Mr. Rogers biopic gets a title and date

We’ve known for quite a while that Tom Hanks would be starring in a Mr. Rogers biopic. We even had the initial shot of him on the set in the iconic red sweater. What we didn’t know is what the film would be called or when it would be releasing. Sony has cleared up those last two bits, today, in a Tweet from the Sony Pictures Twitter account.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood will be hitting theaters on November 22, 2019. It’s sure to bring a tear to the eye of many adults that grew up watching Rogers’ exquisite show. It doesn’t hurt that Hanks looks almost exactly like Rogers, which is bound to throw some people for a loop.

According to Mister Rogers, “There are three ways to ultimate success: The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. While we wait for this film, I guess we’ll have to rewatch the wonderful Won’t You Be My Neighbor again. That doesn’t sound so bad.
