You can now legally watch the Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer

So the last 24 hours have been a hell of a ride. After a leak got out of an unfinished version of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, Disney, Marvel, and Sony have given fans an official glimpse at what’s in store next for the wall-crawler. Much like yesterday’s leak (if you happened to catch it), this trailer shows Peter (Tom Holland) going to Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in an attempt to wipe everyone’s minds of his secret identity before things get out of control.

It’s not a bad premise, all things considered. It could also open the door for Holland to star in Sony’s own Spider-Man spin-offs. If you weren’t sure before, this trailer also 100% confirms Alfred Molina’s reprisal of Doc Ock, Jamie Foxx’s reprisal of Electro, and even drops a hint of Willem Dafoe returning as Green Goblin.

I also like that this could be pointing to a future of Spidey in the MCU where he isn’t reliant on other characters or even Tony Stark’s fancy technology to get him by. Imagine that? An MCU story that isn’t trying to constantly tie into everything else.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently scheduled for a release in theaters on December 17, 2021. This trailer is certainly farther along than the leaked version from yesterday, so I don’t think we’ll be in for a delay here.
