Star Wars: Episode VII gets dated, Tomorrowland delayed

After some noted rumblings behind the scenes (which we didn’t get to cover here, unfortunately, because sometimes the Star Wars rumor mill is staggering) with Michael Arndt exiting and JJ Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan taking over, the production team allegedly fighting for a delay to 2016, and yet everything’s still being kept hidden in JJ’s mystery box. At least one thing’s not a secret anymore. Star Was: Episode VII will release in theaters December 18, 2015.

Along with Star Wars, Disney hopes to rule 2015 by releasing everything in their arsenal. Brad Bird’s upcoming Tomorrowland was pushed back from its November 2014 release to May 22, 2015. Coupled these films with The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Pixar’s Inside Out, and then every other big movie ever, 2015 is going to be some year.
