Studio Ghibli retrospective returns to New York City

0

About this time last year there was a great Studio Ghibli retrospective in New York City, which eventually made its way around the country. I’m happy to report that it’s back again this year thanks to the IFC Center and GKIDS (Guerrilla Kids International Distribution Syndicate).

The Ghibli retrospective begins Friday, November 16th and runs through Thursday, December 20th. Perennial Ghibli favorites like Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, Proco Rosso, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and My Neighbor Totoro are all screening. The retrospective also includes the North American theatrical premiere of Ocean Waves and the US theatrical premiere of Only Yesterday. Each film will be shown in 35mm.
