The Invisible Man - Official Trailer [HD]

Emerging as the first project to rise from the ashes of the Dark Universe, that experiment in MCUing Universal’s slate of classic monsters, The Invisible Man has come along with a trailer. And luckily, you can actually see it!

When Cecilia (Elisabeth Moss) escapes from a violent and abusive relationship, things turn for the worse. When her ex, a high-profile experimental scientist (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) apparently commits suicide, Cecilia becomes subjected to a creeping paranoia that might be more than simple anxiety. It is, in fact… the Invisible Man!

Looking like a far cry from the fun (and excellent) 1933 film, this incarnation of the transparent terror is being produced by Blumhouse Productions for Universal, making the straight-up horror tone a logical result. Whether the premise of an invisible psychopath manages to transcend the everyday horror shlock that comes out in droves near the year’s start remains to be seen, but hopefully the talented cast and crew can make something of it.

Featuring Harriet Dyer, Aldis Hodge, and Storm Reid, with Leigh Whannell (Upgrade) writing and directing, The Invisible Man is currently slated for release on February 28, 2020. Maybe it can make the specter of the Dark Universe… disappear!
