Rio 2’s release is a year from now, but that didn’t stop Blue Sky Studios from teasing it already. There’s nothing to go on from here except that Blu and Jewel’s three babies have grown up, and the charming Samba and dancing from the first film has returned. The first Rio had its share of flaws, but it was notably unique.
In fact, my cousin loved it so much I had to buy the Blu-ray and have been forced to re-watch it 27 and a half times. I really can’t wait Rio 2, so I can watch it instead. Rio 2 sambas into theaters April 11th next year.
