Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel lands director

I think we were all a bit surprised that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was (1) not that bad and (2) a massive hit. Thanks to those to facts a sequel was pretty much announced right away and director Jonathan Liebesman was keen to direct it. Well, he won’t be. Paramount is in talks with David Green (Earth to Echo) to direct the next film, saying they decided to look for a new approach on the film.

He’s actually did a sharp job with Earth to Echo so it’s easy to see this as good news. However, you might be more excited to learn that Bebop and Rocksteady will definitely be showing up for the film (early drafts of the original had them in it, but they got cut) and they’re working to get Casey Jones in as well. Megan Fox, Will Arnett and Shredder will all return. Seeing as the first film wasn’t as good as it could have been a new take and new characters are quite welcome.
