The Banana Splits Movie trailer turns a children’s show into Five Nights at Freddy’s

The Banana Splits Movie - Official Trailer | SYFY WIRE

The Banana Splits Adventure Hour was a short-lived children’s television show from the late-60’s, as best I can tell. I’d never seen or heard of the show or its band of happy-go-lucky animatronic characters until now–now that it’s a horror movie, that is!

Coming from SyFy Wire, we have this delightful looking blend of Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Five Nights at Freddy’s. It’s got a pack of plushy murderous animals with cartoon voices hunting down the parents of children attending their show. What they intend to do with these children is anyone’s guess (entertain them forever?). It looks bloody and fun, and has some suitably creepy shots. I think it’s going to be a blast.

The Banana Splits movie will premier on Syfy sometime later this year.
