The Campaign gets its first political attack ads

Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are appearing as presidential candidates in the comedy The Campaign. Naturally, since the real-life presidential candidates are starting to air their attack ads, it makes sense for the fictional candidates to get their ads out as well.

Besides a rather unfunny introduction ad on the movie’s Facebook page, both Ferrell and Galifianakis have their own ad, with Ferrell above channeling his inner politician and Galifianakis below trying to appeal to the common man. They even have their own pages dedicated to each campaign. Unlike the general election, The Campaign releases on August 10, just in time to ride all the political hoopla leading up the actual election.
