The cast is set for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet

Though details are still sparse, I think for many even the smallest morsel of information on a new Christopher Nolan film is something we can all at least dream of getting excited about. Today brings news of new additions to the cast of the “action epic.”

Set amidst the “world of international espionage,” Tenet is the confirmed title for Nolan’s next, which is set to open July 17, 2020.

We already knew John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, and Robert Pattinson were gearing up for some espionage, but today Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, Clémence Poésy, Dimple Kapadia, and Michael Caine join the roster as well. Branagh was brilliant in 2017’s Dunkirk, and Michael Caine, well. Michael Caine has been terrific in multiple Nolan films. The rest of the cast will be first-timers in working with the English auteur.

Even with the minimal information, it has been said that Tenet will utilize the IMAX/70mm combo that Nolan has used to well in his work (Dunkirk, Interstellar), with the film being shot by frequent collaborator Hoyte van Hoytema. Missing from action will be usual Nolan composer Hans Zimmer, who is busy doing his thing for Denis Vileneuve’s Dune

It’s going to be quite a year for movies, that 2020.
