The Hand Job gets title change, casts Bilson & Gregg

As some of you might know, I’m really excited for The Hand Job. Not because it stars the likes of Aubrey Plaza, Donald Glover, Bill Hader, Alia Shawkat and Andy Samberg or because it sounds like a smart sex romp that’s told from the female perspective. No, I am excited for The Hand Job simply because it is called The Hand Job and I am a 13 year old. So when casting news for the film surfaced, imagine the despair I felt when I found out they changed that glorious title to something so lame and safe like The To Do List. That’s right, they changed the title of the film from The Hand Job to The To Do List. I’ll give you some time to process that.

While it was obvious that the MPAA would never let a movie called The Hand Job see a wide release, I still can’t help but feel extremely disappointed that the producers of the film didn’t stick to their guns on this one. I mean, why would you take away the ability for people to say “I’m going to watch The Hand Job” and not have it be crass or perverted. I had the chance to pepper in the words “hand job” into a review/news post and do so with complete journalistic integrity. I mean, why would you deprive us of that?!

Oh yea, Rachel Bilson and Clark Gregg are joining the cast, BLAH BLAH BLAH, I’m still really pissed they renamed the movie.
