The new Star Wars has its first villain

Adam Driver to turn to the dark side

If you watch Girls then you probably know Adam Driver. You’ve probably never thought that he should be the villain in a massive science fiction space opera, but now he is. Variety is reporting that the actor is close to a done deal on starring as a Vader-like villain in Star Wars: Episode VII.

Driver has been rumored for weeks, but scheduling issues between the Star Wars shoot and Girls were causing problems. That’s not just the current season, but future ones as well causing issues, meaning Driver will probably be returning for multiple installments of the series, which is picking up where Return of the Jedi left off. Now that the scheduling issues have been cleared up he should be officially cast soon.
