By I know that The Walking Dead is not a movie(so I hope this is okay to leave here), but it just aired and I feel like I`m going to explode if I can not nerd out over it. Plus it is seasonal; heck zombies are always seasonal. For the premiere episode, I was blown away mostly by the atmosphere. It looked and felt real, and don`t forget about the top notch costume and make-up for the zombies. Perhaps it looked extra amazing to me as I had watched the 2004 `remake` of Dawn of the Dead previous to The Walking Dead. In all fairness, the 2004 Dawn of the Dead is hilariously silly.
Anyways, I am already drawn into the characters, well mostly Andrew Lincolns character as Rick Grimes. This is probably because it is the first episode and they wanted to show how much of a bad ass he is, and how he will grow into throughout the series. I am also loving the slight touch of sympathy he has for the undead. He definitely feels sorry for them, which will create an excellent conflict dynamic later on when he meets people who just don`t give a damn about anyone.
