There’s a What We Do in the Shadows TV Show in the pipeline

This weekend, thousands of moviegoers will flock to theaters for Thor: Ragnarok, the highly anticipated return of Thor in a standalone movie that doesn’t look as boring as his first two outings. What’s curious is the director behind Ragnarok, Taika Waititi, has been known for comedy up until this point. His 2014 film What We Do in the Shadows, a faux documentary about a group of vampires living as flatmates, is a fary cry from The Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is in my opinion, the funniest comedy released in the past ten years.

The good news? Waititi is currently developing a TV Show based on What We Do in the Shadows.

In an interview with Fandango, Waititi mentions that, “We’re trying to develop a U.S. version of What We Do in the Shadows. You know, set here in the states, but a TV show.” This project sounds like it’s a ways off, but a sequel series to one of the funniest comedies in the past decade would have my undivided attention.

Seriously, if you haven’t seen What We Do in the Shadows, what are you doing? It’s Halloween, go watch
