There’s going to be a Paranormal Activity 4 because money

Paramount is planning a fourth Paranormal Activity movie. In related news, a bear said he really wants to eat a baby elk and Robert Smith from The Cure still hates Morrissey. So yeah, not a surprise at all. The Paranormal Activity franchise has been cheap to produce and does incredible business worldwide. A quick breakdown:

  • Paranormal Activity – Budget: $15,000; International box office: $193,355,800
  • Paranormal Activity 2 – Budget: $3 million; International box office: $177,512,032
  • Paranormal Activity 3 – Budget: $5 million; International box office: $202,951,300

No word on the sequel’s story, cast, or crew, but we can probably expect the film to drop around Halloween. My hope is that Paranormal Activity 4 will be shot in real time and will involve people in a movie theater watching a haunted print of Andy Warhol’s Sleep.
