Three Stooges to nyuck nyuck nyuck next April

I can’t say I’m terribly excited for the new Three Stooges film. If there was ever anyone whose magic could never be captured again its Larry, Moe and Curly (and sometimes that other guy… I’m a bit fuzzy on those other Stooges). The point being is of all the remakes and re-boots we see these days this seems the most pointless. However, it is happening and now we know that the pointlessness will occur in April of 2012.

With the Farrelly brothers directing and reports of giant, slapstick set pieces being created I do hold out hope that the film will be truly funny, but I just wish it was called Three Funny Guys or maybe if their names were Terry, Joe and Hurley. You know, just so it was pretending to be an original idea and not attempting to claim it will live up to the genre defining standards of the Three Stooges themselves. Still, I have hope about..

Wait, what’s this? The Stooges “try to save their childhood home, but accidentally become involved in a murder plot and in a modern-day twist will end up starring in a reality TV show.” KILL IT! KILL IT NOW!
