Three unused posters for The Dark Knight Rises

With The Dark Knight Rises hitting DVD and Blu-ray on December 4th, the last thing you’d expect would be some new poster art. (Well, that and the Spanish Inquisition.) The marketing/advertising firm Trailer Park showed off three unused posters for the film recently.

The most promising unused posters is the minimalist, chalk-rendered Bane mask over the word “Fear.” It would have worked well with a chalk Batman symbol poster. It also makes me think they could have used both this Bane symbol and the bat symbol in the second half of the film as a way to mark territory.

In semi-related news, it looks like tickets are sold out for An Evening with Christopher Nolan here in NYC on Wednesday, November 28th. There might be some additional tix made available to the public, but no word on that yet. If anything, limited standby tickets will be available at the Walter Reade Theater on the day of the event, with a limit of two tickets per person.

You can give all of these posters a look in the gallery.
