By Mean Girls is one of the most quotable films in recent memory. After 30 Rock (Fey’s schedule will be a lot clearer now that it’s unfortunately ending) it’s one of my favorite Fey projects, so I’m glad to hear that Fey is still thinking about Girl World after all of these years. In a recent interview at the SAG awards, Fey confirmed that she and her husband have been working on a musical version of the film. While that is the furthest thing from concrete details (no cast or true confirmation as of yet), the news is too good not to share.
If this does ever see the light of day, I’ll be seeing it opening night definitely. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be in this corner endlessly quoting the film: “Four for you Glen Coco. YOU GO GLEN COCO.” “I want my pink shirt back!” “She doesn’t even go here!” And so on…
