Tower Heist VOD plans ceased

Well, that was fast. Seems that Universal’s early VOD plans for Bret Ratner’s latest suck-fest have fallen through. The National Association of Theatre Operators (NATO) have criticized Universal’s plan to release Tower Heist on VOD a mere three weeks after hitting theatres. Naturally, NATO was upset, claiming that it would eat into money that the theatres had every right to. But now, all is resolved. Universal cancelled their plans, and NATO will have their cake and eat it, too.

Seriously, that’s the entire story. Took them like, two days to negotiate a deal. Where’s the fun in that, right? I want name-calling! I want CEOs and heads of organization to get in a back and forth shouting match! But since I couldn’t get any of that, check below the break for a video of a corgi doing a bellyflop.
