Toy Story 3 director preps next project

Toy Story 3 was a major accomplishment for Pixar. Not only was it one of their best films, but it proved that a sequel (more specifically, the 3rd in a trilogy) could be every bit better than the films that preceded it. It proved that creativity in cinema wasn’t dead and it proved that Pixar has what it takes to make not only some of the best animated films, but some of the best films, period.

Last Thursday, Lee Unkrich, director of Toy Story 3, tweeted this: “Tomorrow is a big day that may determine the next four years of my life. Wish me luck.” Yesterday, he tweeted this: “Today is day one on my next project. Every day I’ll post a new photo chronicling the journey. #UnkADay” His first picture that he posted on Tumblr was of some keyboard keys, which indicates that this project is still in the script stages.

Now we’re all expected to stay calm because we don’t know frivolous details of the project, such as a title, story, concept art or anything, really… but eff that, because you know that whatever it is, it’s going to be badass. At least we know that this man is up to something. Stay tuned to his Twitter feed and, as always, Flixist, for more info…
