Amour, by director Micheal Hanake, just won the prestigious Palme d’Or – the top overall prize – over the weekend at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Judging by this trailer, it looks contemplative, painful, and seriously haunting. Right now the film is set for a December 2012 release which may help it come Oscar season next year.
