Take a look as this fine trailer for the new dance flick Battle of the Year and make sure to soak it all in. It’s got everything you want from a cinematic masterpiece. It has the stellar acting talents of Chris Brown and that one kid from Drake and Josh, a compelling plot involving the plight of a group of b-boys as they try and take a championship away from the Koreans, and all while a middle class white male coaches dancing to a group of “urban youths.” There is absolutely no way this film is going to be terrible.
Seriously though, dance films are a weird sort. Sometimes they’re great because of a focused story, like Dirty Dancing, and sometimes you get Honey. Battle of the Year could go either way.
