Don’t Go in the Woods, not to be confused with the 1981 film that no one will confuse it with because no one has heard of it outside of a Google search, is Vincent D’Onofrio’s directoral debut. He has performed in Full Metal Jacket, Men in Black, and Ed Wood, and is famous for playing Detective Goren in Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Now, this seasoned actor putting out a film that looks like a student project.
Seriously, I can’t believe how dull and cliché it looks. If it’s not unknown actors stumbling over their lines, it’s boring shots of people freaking out about where their friends have gone. If this band and their groupies insist on going into the woods to find “the music,” maybe they should stay out there, away from the rest of us.
