I have been all over David Ayer’s End of Watch and every time I post something about it, I flip flop between liking and disliking what I see. First, I love what I see and eventually prattle on about it like some weirdo. Then I see too much of it at once, and it was so extremely jarring, I ended worrying about the finished product. With this new trailer, the focus goes back to how Jack Gyllenhaal and Micheal Pena interact (the Spanish is also a very nice touch) so I’m back to loving it again.
I’ve never been so indecisive about trailers before. Normally, I at least am aware of whether or not I wanted to see a flick. I kind of have to see End of Watch now to find out how all of it plays out. I’ve said before, and I’ll say it a thousand times more. Please be good.
