Trailer: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

We posted the last trailer for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close at the end of September, and now there’s another one. I try not to judge books by their covers, but sometimes it’s really hard not to. Overly long, somewhat pretentious title? Check. Misunderstood childhood genius with some social problems? Check. Movie using dead parents and national tragedy to pull at heartstrings? Oh my, check. The movie follows a young boy (Thomas Horn) whose father (Tom Hanks) dies in the 9/11 attacks, leaving a mysterious key behind. The boy sets out to find what the key unlocks.

I haven’t read the book, but I’ll bet you that the key leads to a better understanding of how much the boy’s father loved him, as well as the realization that close friends can be family as well. You can see an HD trailer on Apple.
