Trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles delivers Splinter

I had been holding out hope on the Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles even when the design got all weird and the last trailer wasn’t too exciting. This new trailer, however, puts the nail in the coffin. I’m still excited on the most base level because ninjas that are turtles, but almost everything in this trailer feels off to me.

The voices are weird, there’s a part with a rocket skateboard, there’s dubstep, Shredder is a robot and the action seen just doesn’t seem like its fun. I want to love it, but this looks more like its sucking the soul out of a franchise cherished by youngsters for generations instead of giving it life. At least they made a joke about that alien crap they tried to pull early on. Final judgement will come when the film releases on October 17.

Also new posters.
