Trailer: Grow Up, Tony Phillips

Grow Up, Tony Phillips (premiering next week during SXSW) is about a high school senior named Tony who really loves Halloween. When his older cousin visits, and his friends all mock his love of Halloween, Tony has to decide to hang on to the holiday or grow up. 

It’s all standard coming of age stuff, but GUTP has a certain charm that’s hard to deny. And while most of the dialogue in the trailer is dealt with a heavy hand (i.e. full of exposition), we might get a good slice of life story out of this. Our own Geofferson Starship Henao said the film is on his radar, so stay tuned next week to see what he thinks!
