In 2007 director Patrick Read Johnson created a movie, called 5-25-77, based on his real life experiences growing up in a small Midwestern town with big dreams of making movies, and of the then unreleased movie phenomenon that would change everything – Star Wars.
Now, in 2012, Johnson has taken to the road in an epic American road trip to raise the last of the money he needs to finish the movie, and to bring it to as many people as possible! Johnson and his team have been screening it across the country and raising funds along the way. Johnson is also filming the behind the scenes moments on the road trip which will eventually become its own documentary called Heart of Dorkness.
