Animation is wonderful, we can all agree on that. But one thing most folks hardly know anything about is voice acting. Voice actors really are the unsung heroes of animation. Sure, animators do a lot of the heavy lifting because they..y’know…animate the thing. But voice actors have the unique challenge of creating a character from nothing more than a few words and a bit of direction. That power then has to go to the animators to further flush out the character.
I Know That Voice seems to be the best documentary ever about the field of voice acting. My hope is that they tackle the very real issue of voice actors not getting paid what they deserve. God knows those hard working folk need every cent they can get.
