This is the third trailer we’ve seen for Tarsem Singh’s “I swear, it’s really quite different from 300” swords and sandals picture Immortals. I think that’s an unfair comparison, though. Immortals, to me, looks like someone took the Clash of the Titans remake and actually added a bit of style and production design. Also, John Hurt is narrating, so there’s actually some context to all the craziness and floating dudes dressed all in yellow. All in all, this is by far not the most interesting thing to me this fall/winter, but I’ll catch it at a matinee, for sure. Plus, Freida Pinto is pretty, and it looks like she’ll have more to do here than in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
