A couple of months ago, Geoff put up a trailer for a movie called Intruders that I didn’t bother paying attention to. I don’t know why that was, but something about a Boogeyman horror directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and starring Clive Owen didn’t necessarily interest me. Fast forward to today, however, when I give the second trailer a chance…
“HOLY F&%K WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO THEIR EYE MOUTH HOLES?! WHY THAT ONE GUY NO HAVE FACE?! EVERYTHING IS BURRNNNNING! THIS IS ALL HER IMAGINATION!!”
Suffice to say, they got me hook, line and sinker with the whole boogeyman “is it really happening” aspect to it. I kind of wished they didn’t have to spoil that aspect of the movie, but it worked in the sense that it makes it more into a psychological thriller than a horror.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I got to go to Home Depot and buy a night light.
