Trailer: Jack the Giant Slayer

This new trailer for Jack the Giant Killer Slayer doesn’t look fun at all. It takes the intrinsic whimsy of the original Jack and the Beanstalk fairy tale and turns it into something gritty, and action-y. Sure it’s got Obi Wan Kenobi, that one zombie from Warm Bodies (and if Hoult’s acting chops don’t change, he’s going to be a zombie forever), and lazy CG Andre the Giants, but you can’t take a story about a large tree and turn it into a gritty mess. 

You know what this reminds me of? Snow White and the Huntsman. And we all know how that turned out. Buffy the Giant Slayer is out March 1st.
