By Emily Brontë enjoys long walks on grimy beaches and tormenting high schoolers with her dreadful novel, Wuthering Heights. Lucky for us, Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre doesn’t seem nearly as painful.
Mia Wasikowska was pretty much the only good aspect of the recent Alice in Wonderland remake, and her facial expressions have me wanting to see her in as many movies as possible next year. Interestingly enough, Jane Eyre seems so show similarities to the Wonderland story to those like me who have never read Brontë’s book. As a naturally curious woman it’s obvious she’ll stumble upon some dark secret, and as the trailer shows and its director Cary Fukunaga has said, there’s a darker side to the story that he plans to explore further than the other remakes have done in the past.
