By Wow. I just finished watching the trailer for Martha Marcy May Marlene and… wow. The highly-acclaimed Sundance film stars the missing Olsen sister in her breakout role as the eponymous character. The trailer is just a complete mindgasm of eerie, creepiness, and all-out haunting.
The official synopsis reads as follows: “MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE stars Elizabeth Olsen as Martha, a damaged woman haunted by painful memories and increasing paranoia, who struggles to re-assimilate with her family after fleeing a cult.”
Unfortunately for us, the film doesn’t release in US theaters until October 7th. Until then, we can marvel at how talented Elizabeth Olsen is and wonder why her sisters never lived up to their potential.
