By Pacific Rim - "At the Edge"
The newest trailer for Pacific Rim may very well be the best one yet. It’s got Idris Elba’s “canceling the apocalypse” speech from the first trailer slowed down to its actual film delivery speed, it features a good amount of new footage without spoiling the film, and there’s someone breathing in the background to heighten the sense of dread and nervousness. This trailer is cut so well, it does more to interest me in the film than any boatsword could ever hope to. As cool as it will be to see G Gundams fighting Godzillas, since this is a Del Toro film, Pacific Rim going to be all about the people. This trailer just helpfully reminds you of this fact. Pacific Rim rocket punches Godzilla into space or something July 12th.
