At this point, you’ve probably already made up your mind about the Paranormal Activity series, especially considering the first and second ones are basically indistinguishable. I’m OK with the first one, but the schtick wore thin during the second. I might give this one a shot, just because it looks to have just enough of a variation on the other two films to matter. The fact that there’s more than two main characters alone give this one something to look at. I have to wonder, though, how is a found footage movie like this from the 1980s looking so much like someone’s crappy digital camcorder from 2011? For everything it did wrong, at least Apollo 18 made an attempt at authenticity.
