First thing’s first: I absolutely get why Ridley Scott was more saying that Prometheus has “Alien DNA.” At a glance, this movie feels very much like a spiritual successor to the original Alien, in a very great way. This trailer conveys a fantastic sense of dread and foreboding, even if the story’s likely to be a lot crazier than Alien‘s simple “monster in a spaceship” yarn.
That said, the damn Space Jockey’s ship is right there. If you’re still trying to say it’s not an Alien prequel, Ridley Scott, just because the word “prequel” brings up the terrible Star Wars prequels, that’s a fair point, but your movie is a damn prequel just say it.
